CALVI - Festival - Diving

Photo n° -
Calvi is well known for being a town ideally placed for its famous beaches and its half-moon-shaped bay.

On the historical side, a huge medieval citadel overlooks the marina from the western end of the bay. It is crossed by cobbled streets and hosts the baroque Saint-Jean-Baptiste cathedral. A little further up, perched on a high hill, some distance inland, the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-la-Serra offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
In town, many restaurants line the port on the quayside esplanade. Calvi is also full of scuba diving sites with fins, mask and snorkel.

During the summer Calvi is especially well known among festival-goers who do not hesitate to travel to take part in the Calvi On The Rocks festival.
